The Los Angeles Chargers have released pass rusher [Joey Bosa](/players/joey-bosa/), the team announced Wednesday night.
Bosa, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft -- the club's last year in San Diego -- made five Pro Bowls for the Chargers over the past nine seasons. He leaves Los Angeles with 72 career sacks, good for second place on the franchise's all-time list.
