Yesterday, a popular tipster, OnLeaks, revealed the design of Samsung’s next clamshell foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and it took everyone by surprise. According to the leak, its outer display will cover the entire portion of the phone's upper part, housing rear cameras, making it look similar to the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. However, there was no information available about its size. Well, today we do, thanks to Ross Young.
The VP of Counterpoint Research and founder of DisplaySearch and DSCC, Ross Young, commented on Ice Universe’s post about the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s design saying that the phone’s outer display will measure 4.05 inches. That makes it 19% larger than the 3.4-inch display on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It will also beat the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra to take the crown for offering the largest cover display on a clamshell foldable phone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Design Cover Display Size
Earlier this week, we had a leak about the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 from OnLeaks and Android Headlines. It revealed that the phone will have the same design as the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which was quite disappointing for people expecting to see a larger cover display or a fresher and more innovative design. However, a day later, the tipster and the publication shared a revised design, the one with full cover display.
Previous leaks claim that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC and a 4,300mAh battery. With a larger cover display and a more efficient processor and a larger battery pack than its predecessor, Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable phone will be a significant step up from the current model. With these upgrades, it could also be the most feature-packed among its rivals.
