Planning is already being put in place for Leeds United’s bid for survival in the Premier League with The Whites sitting comfortably at the top of the Championship, with 11 games to play.
Saturday’s draw at West Brom has seen the gap reduce from five points to three, between themselves and Sheffield United. There are still, perhaps more importantly, five points between Leeds and Burnley in third.
Come the summer if promoted, Leeds are expected to be busy. The Whites could be after a goalkeeper, a left-back, a no.10 and a new striker while the strength in depth needs to considerably improve to survive.
Leeds are already being linked with a whole host of names and the latest is currently playing under Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce, and is available on a free after talks with the SuperLig side reached an impasse.

Leeds United eye Bright Osayi-Samuel on a free transfer
A report from AfricaFoot claims Leeds are interested in signing Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel on a free transfer. The former Blackpool and QPR man has made his name in Turkey in the last few years.
The 27-year-old, who has 18 caps with Nigeria, has been a target for Leeds in the past. It was claimed in 2024 that Leeds tabled a £7m offer for Osayi-Samuel, but nothing materialised and he stayed at Fener.
But this summer, a move back to England looks likely given his current contract situation. Leeds have Jayden Bogle at right-back, but Osayi-Samuel is able to play on either side of the defence, or out wide.

Leeds face competition from two Premier League clubs
The report indicates that if Leeds are interested in signing Osayi-Samuel, then they are going to have to move fast. That is because Crystal Palace have tabled an offer to lure Osayi-Samuel back to England.

The offer is a four-year contract until the summer of 2029 worth around £3.75m a year, or £72,000 a week. A big contract for a player that has never actually played in the Premier League, during his career.
Leeds and Fulham are listed as clubs to have shown interest in Osayi-Samuel and it will be interesting to see if either side retaliates to Palace’s opening offer. But Leeds are likely to wait until promotion is done.
