The Los Angeles Lakers won their seventh straight game after a 136-115 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
Lakers guard Luka Doncic again led the way with 30 points, 15 assists, and eight rebounds, making team history as the first player to have a 30-point, 15-assist night to go along with five made three-pointers.
His teammate, LeBron James, finished the game with 34 points in 33 minutes of play. Many pundits questioned how both ball-dominant players could co-exist together after the shocking trade that sent Doncic to Los Angeles before the deadline in February. Since joining the Lakers, Doncic and his new team are 7-2 with him in the lineup.
The five-time all-star was asked postgame about playing with an all-time great player in James and whether he'd learned anything new from his experience. "I don't think nothing new. But overall, being next to him and experiencing that, it's a learning process," Doncic told reporters postgame.
I asked Luka Doncic about what he’s learned about LeBron James as a teammate: “I don’t think nothing new. But overall, being next to him and experiencing that, it’s a learning process.” #Lakeshow

The Lakers have climbed up to the second seed in the Western Conference standings and seemed poised to make a deep playoff run behind Doncic and James' brilliance. Luka led his former team, the Dallas Mavericks, to the NBA Finals last year but did not get an opportunity to return in a Mavericks uniform after the NBA-jolting trade.

Former Lakers forward Anthony Davis was sent to the Mavericks in exchange for Doncic, but Davis has only appeared in one game before he injured his abductor strain and is now out. The Lakers host the New York Knicks on Thursday night at the Crypto.com Arena.
