Real Madrid, Bayern Munich want £50m Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen: Report

Dean Huijsen at 19 has already donned the colours of Juventus, AS Roma and Bournemouth. If some reports are to be trusted, the defender may also get to wear the famous white of Real Madrid.

Dean Huijsen started his career with the Netherlands, his birthplace, before switching his allegiance to Spain. However, he is yet to get a senior team call-up.

The Old Lady had loaned him out to rivals Roma, where he scored twice from 13 appearances, before being sold to the English side.

It was in July 2024 that Huijsen joined the club from Juventus on a six-year deal. Bournemouth are seventh in the Premier League with 12 wins, seven draws and eight defeats. He has been tremendous for the Cherries this season and remains pivotal to their European dreams. He won 74% of tackles (20/27) and 61% of headers (56/92) so far this season and managed 42 interceptions and 25 blocks.

Despite their lethal offensive prowess, Real are struggling due to their fitness concerns at the back. Eder Militao and captain Daniel Carvajal are out injured while David Alaba just recovered. Antonio Rudiger and Lucas Vazquez were also injured earlier, forcing Carlo Ancelotti to use his midfielders Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and even Federico Valverde to fill the void. The discovery of academy product Raul Asencio is the only positive for the Los Blancos defensive department this season.
