Liverpool stunned PSG last night with one of the most dramatic smash-and-grab wins in recent UEFA Champions League history.
The Reds overcame the French giants to secure a 1-0 win in Paris thanks to their one shot on target via Harvey Elliott, with Darwin Nunez winning praise for his role in Liverpool’s winning goal on the night at the Parc des Princes.
The man of the hour, though, was Alisson Becker, with the Liverpool shot-stopper saying last night’s performance was the best of his career as the Brazilian goalkeeper made an incredible nine saves to deny PSG a big win against the Anfield side.
And Jamie Carragher has now made a lofty claim on Alisson Becker after the 32-year-old goalkeeper’s historic performance last night in France for Liverpool against PSG.

Liverpool fans will have to thank Alisson if they win the Champions League
Speaking on CBS Sports coverage of the match, the former Liverpool defender noted how supporters will remember Alisson’s performance forever in Paris if the Reds end up winning the Champions League this season.
Alisson’s miracle save against Napoli in the 2018/19 season is still remembered fondly by fans, and Carragher believes supporters will hail the Brazilian in even higher regard if they go on to win Europe’s biggest prize once again after last night’s display.
Carragher said: “The last time Liverpool won this competition, Alisson Becker made a save against Napoli in the last group game which could have sent Liverpool out had Napoli scored, that’s always looked back on as a defining moment.
“But that wasn’t just a save tonight, that was arguably the greatest performance of his career, certainly in a Liverpool shirt. If Liverpool go on to win this competition, that performance will be remembered for years to come.”
