Pat McAfee Reveals NFL’s ‘Kings of the Offseason’

Pat McAfee played his college football at West Virginia University and went on to carve out a successful career for himself with the Indianapolis Colts as a special teams star on the punting unit.

On Wednesday, the host of 'The Pat McAfee Show' spoke candidly about recent NFL offseason moves, including the addition of two offensive linemen in a division that was crowned as the best in the NFL last year prior to playoff season.

McAfee believes that there is an early 'King of the Offseason' in the National Football Football League after a recent series of moves that has fans talking.

McAfee named new head coach Ben Johnson's Chicago Bears, who recently traded for guards Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney, as the team's 'Kings of the Offseason' while questioning whether the Bears made "a franchise changing move" with the addition for the former Kansas City Chiefs all-pro lineman.

"I mean, they're working up there, the Kings of the Offseason, 'Let's go Bears!" McAfee said on his show Wednesday to a round of thunderous applause.

The Bears got Thuney from the Chiefs for a fourth round pick and Jackson from the Rams for a sixth round pick.

"Let's talk about Thuney...All-Pro guard...Probable Hall-of-Fame guard when it's all said and done for his career," McAfee said about the Bears' recent pickup, praising him for his willingness to play offensive tackle in a pinch, showing his versatility as a natural guard.

The Bears have the 10th pick in the 2025 NFL draft and have been linked to potential offensive line options including LSU tackle Will Campbell, who could be the first off the board at his position.
