Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Carlos Miguel remains confident that he will be successful at the Premier League club.
[CNN Brasil](https://www.cnnbrasil.com.br/esportes/futebol/corinthians/no-tempo-certo-estarei-no-meu-lugar-diz-carlos-miguel-ex-corinthians/) covers comments made by the 26-year-old, who joined Nottingham Forest from Corinthians last summer.
He’s made only three appearances for the Reds, and they were all in cup competitions.
Nuno Espírito Santo has preferred Matz Sels in the league and the Belgian has impressed, keeping 11 clean sheets and conceded 33 goals from 27 matches. On Monday, Sels was the hero for Nottingham Forest in their FA Cup win over Ipswich Town.
The manager started Sels because Miguel was forced to miss the tie due to an injury. The Brazilian has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since February.
On his recovery, he said: _“I would have liked to have helped on the pitch, as I did in the first two matches, but from the sidelines, I sent good vibes and cheered for my teammates. I know that what awaits me is much greater. Good things are yet to come._
_“This injury that I suffered serves as a learning experience for me, as an incentive for me to make every good moment something unique and special. I am not used to, and will not get used to, being out of games, especially not decisive ones._
_“I am recovering, and I know that when the time is right, I will be in my place, playing my best for Forest.”_
Brighton & Hove Albion will host Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup quarter-final later this month. The stopper insists the Reds are capable of challenging to win the cup this season.
_“We deserved it, everyone at the club is very committed. We have reached the quarter final and I’m sure that we are capable of fighting for the title. Game by game, with respect for our opponents and focused on the work, that is how we continue,”_ Miguel explained.
Nottingham Forest are third in the table, a point ahead of fourth placed Manchester City. The two clubs will face each other in the league on Saturday.
_“We are ahead of them in the standings. This is a source of pride, since we are talking about a rival that is, today, one of the biggest and most valuable clubs in the world,”_ the goalkeeper added.
_“Our team is making history. And I know we can do more. We need to win again in the Premier League, and this will be a duel that can give us morale”._
