NFL free-agent tight end rankings 2025: Browns could target new Te backups

CLEVELAND, Ohio — For football fans, March means NFL free agency, which officially opens March 12.

To stay on top of things, we’ll list the best free agent rankings by each position, per Sharp Football Analysis. In this post we will look at how the top free-agent tight ends rank.

The Browns already have their franchise tight end in David Njoku. After a Pro Bowl nod in 2023, he had an underwhelming 2024 season with 505 receiving yards and five touchdowns, though injuries did play a part.

However, Cleveland could pick up new possible backups.

Among the names listed is Jordan Akins, who was Cleveland’s main backup tight end for two seasons, though he only caught 55 passes for two scores.

Another familiar name is Harrison Bryant, who was drafted by Cleveland in 2020 and stayed through 2023, before spending the past season with Las Vegas.
