Manchester City and Manchester United‘test the waters’to sign Brazilian–Ready to move forward

Atalanta midfielder Ederson is of interest to Juventus but the Italian giants are going to face stiff competition from Manchester United and Manchester City.

TuttoSport have looked at the Brazilian’s situation today, stating that Juventus tried to bring the 25-year-old to Turin last summer but their attempt failed, and they ended up signing Teun Koopmeiners.

He remains their ‘old dream’ and another attempt could be made in the upcoming summer transfer window. There is the lingering threat Manchester United and Manchester City that can threaten their approach for the Brazil international.

The two English giants are said to have already managed to ‘test the waters’ for Ederson and they will provide ‘fierce’ competition in the race for him.

The report states that Atalanta rejected a €40m offer from a Premier League club last summer. It isn’t clear whether Manchester United or Manchester City made that offer, but it’s stated they’re ready to move forward.

Juve are ‘intent’ on beating competition and they are gaining confidence from securing Koopmeiners last year despite Premier League interest at the time.
