Newcastle United's media team keen to make point as club releases latest training ground gallery

ยท March 6 2025, 11:00

**It might feel like it, but it's not all doom and gloom on Tyneside. The news that Alexander Isak is in fact fit should be a welcome boost to the mood of Newcastle United fans.**

After announcements around losing two big players for the rest of the season added to the three-match suspension of Anthony Gordon, the mood was unsurprisingly negative around Newcastle yesterday.

So negative, in fact, that rumours of Alexander Isak being out for the Carabao Cup final found a big audience with it being all-too easy to believe.

Thankfully, as the day went on, more reputable sources were rubbishing those claims and images from Sky Sports helped put the worries to bed.

Newcastle are gearing up to take on West Ham United on Monday night as Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, kick-off at 8pm.

Isak doesn't appear anywhere else other than the header, but it's enough to allay the current fears around his fitness.

Leo Sahar is featured prominently in this week's gallery

17-year-old Leo Shahar features quite prominently throughout the gallery and can be seen going toe-to-toe with Harvey Barnes.

The youngster has been training with the first team for a few weeks now and given the state of Newcastle's squad right now, could we be about to see his name on the teamsheet?

Joe Willock, Callum Wilson and Joelinton are all shown more than once, too, as if to hammer home the point that the trio are fully fit and back in full contention ahead of the Hammers trip.
