Chelsea have joined the race to sign Bundesliga ace this summer. The player also has interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City along with multiple foreign clubs.
The star in question here is Joshua Kimmich of Bayern Munich. The 30 year old will be out of contract at the end of the season. Bayern are open to offer him new contract but are unwilling to offer him pay-rise. This has caused tension in the club and new contract is not yet signed.
Arsenal are in need to sign midfielders due to Partey and Jorginho leaving for free in the summer. Signing Kimmich for free will help them to focus on other key areas like striker and winger. The North London club are already reported to be in talks with the player’s representatives.
Gunners are joined by Liverpool in the race who failed to land Zubimendi last summer. They are still interested to sign a holding midfielder and Kimmich can be seen as a good option. Lastly, Man City are also showing interest due to Pep Guardiola’s relationship with Kimmich from their time together at Bayern.
