Aston Villa have now held a meeting with a European club over a summer exit for a player they bought for £6.7 million back in the summer, according to a recent report.
Aston Villa gearing up summer transfer plans
Despite still having a lot to play for in the league as well as the FA Cup and Champions League, the Midlands side are beginning to put plans in place for what could be another busy summer at Villa Park.

He's a rising star...
There will be a few areas of the team that Unai Emery would like to strengthen, and signing a new striker will be a priority given Jhon Duran has left and hasn’t been replaced. Villa have already been linked with a move to sign Samu Aghehowa from FC Porto, as he could be available for £42 million and may be seen as the perfect replacement for Duran.
However, he is not the only option, as Villa have now been offered the chance to sign Ademola Lookman, who looks set to leave Atalanta at the end of the season and has his eyes on a move back to England, albeit he is more comfortable on the wing.

As well as addressing matters at the top end of the pitch, Emery is also looking to bring in at least one new defender during the summer. Joel Ordonez has emerged back on their radar in recent days, with scouts making regular checks on him, as they have come against him a few times in Europe this season.
And as well as having interest in Ordonez, Villa have now joined the race to sign Konstantinos Koulierakis from Wolfsburg in a potential deal worth £42 million.
Aston Villa hold meeting over summer exit for £6.7m player
But for these players to arrive at Villa Park, a few current players are going to have to leave, and that appears to be the case for one individual in particular, as according to Estadio Deportivo relayed by Sport Witness, Aston Villa and Valencia have held a meeting over extending Enzo Barrenechea’s loan spell at the Spanish side.

The report states that Villa are happy with the midfielder’s progress while at Valencia this season, and therefore, a meeting has been held about possibly extending his stay, with the Midlands side believing it is a good idea if he stays for another season.
Barrenechea was also a part of the meeting, and he has also made it clear he was happy to remain at Valencia. The La Liga side have no buy option, so a transfer would have to be discussed at the end of the campaign, but as things stand, their interest is just in him staying on loan, and Villa are happy for him to do that.
The Premier League side bought the Argentine midfielder from Juventus in a deal worth £6.7 million back in the summer but he is yet to taste action at Villa Park. The defensive midfielder, who can also play further forward if needed, played just five times for Juventus before his move, so his move to Spain is a chance for him to show his parent club what he is all about.
