Manchester United are struggling to find consistency in front of goal this season, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee being the primary strikers in the senior team.
The pair have a combined 12 goals this season, which needless to say, is a poor showing for a team like United.
As such the club are looking to recruit a prolific striker this summer with the likes of Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres both being linked to Old Trafford.
However, United are also focusing on the development of their academy stars, with the likes of Chido Obi getting his debut for the club recently, showing great promise.
Now, United have rewarded one of their other promising strikers with a new contract.

Manchester United have now officially confirmed that striker Ethan Wheatly has signed a new contract with the club.
Whilst Wheatley is currently on loan with League Two leaders Walsall, he’s put pen to paper, extending his contract from 2025 to 2028.
The 19-year-old has already made four senior appearances for United, notably becoming the 250th youth-side graduate to represent our first team.
However his ability hasn’t only been acknowledged by United, with the striker receiving call ups to England’s Under-17s, Under-18s and Under-19s sides.
Posting on X, Manchester United’s official account posted congratulations to Wheatley on the new contract, commenting: “Congratulations to Ethan Wheatley, who has signed a new contract at United!”
