Roy Keane "Gave Up" On This Man United Team After Hearing Post Game Interview

Man United legend Roy Keane was famed for his never say die attitude, and ability to drive his teammates to new levels, always setting the standard.

The current Man United is nothing like the side he played for, as the Irishman was used to The Red Devil's winning Premier League titles, European Cups, and cementing their status as one of the best clubs in the world, but now, they are a long way off that.

Knocked out of every cup competition in England and sitting 15th in the league, the Europa League is the only chance that Rebuen Amirom has to salvage a bitterly disappointing season.

Keane isn't holding out much hope though, saying that he lost faith in the team way back in September following their 1-1 draw with FC Twente.

"When players are coming out after the [FC Twente match] and going, 'I think they might've wanted it more than us', I kind of gave up at that stage.

"If that's the noise coming out of the dressing room, then no wonder the manager's in trouble. No wonder they're not going to win football matches.

"But that's where United are - it's hit and miss, they win a few games, but they're going to lose plenty. They're too open. They're not athletic. They don't score enough goals.

"I'm not sure there's a team there. I don't recognise this team. I don't recognise the club. I would be disgusted if I came in after a game and I felt another team wanted it more than us."

United face Real Sociedad in the last 16 of the Europa League tonight, and they will be hoping to use this competition to turn this season around.

If Amirom's men were able to win the tournament, then they would qualify for the Champions League next season, which would be a lifeline for everyone at Old Trafford.
