Fans have just 100 days to wait until the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 gets underway, with 32 sides competing to become the best team on the planet. In this article, we will attempt to answer some of the questions you may have ahead of what is sure to be a summer full of world-class action.
FIFA’s global club competition has been expanded for the 21st edition, which will be played in June and July this year.
Chelsea were one of the first teams to secure their place in the competition, thanks to our triumph in the 2021 UEFA Champions League. All six regional confederations will be represented as 32 clubs compete across 63 matches in 12 cities for the right to add global glory to continental success.
And for supporters unable to head Stateside, the good news is all 63 tournament matches will be live-streamed, free to view on DAZN worldwide.
Below you can find all the information on when and where the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be played and which teams the Blues will face when we bid to become world champions for just the second time in our history, following victory in the smaller 2021 competition.
When is the FIFA Club World Cup?
Fitting a similar schedule to the national teams’ World Cup, the expanded tournament will begin on Friday 15 June 2025 and run for just over four weeks, with the final taking place on Sunday 13 July 2025.
Which teams have qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup?
Each region will send their last four continental champions, with the remainder of their spots taken by the highest ranked teams from their competitions over the last four years.
The one exception is Oceania, as their solitary spot is taken by the highest ranked of their champions, while hosts the USA have nominated Inter Miami from Major League Soccer to complete the line-up.

Where will the FIFA Club World Cup be played?
The first of the new-look Club World Cups will be hosted by the USA, with 12 venues chosen by FIFA to hold matches, predominantly on the East Coast. Games are planned to be played at the below venues, many of which will be familiar to Chelsea supporters from our pre-season tours of America:

What is the format for the FIFA Club World Cup?
The competition will begin with a group stage, with the 32 teams being divided into eight groups of four. Those four sides will face each other once, with the top two from every group progressing to a traditional knockout phase of one-off matches, starting in the last 16.
Who will Chelsea face in the FIFA Club World Cup?
The draw for the group stage was held in Miami, Florida, on 5 December and it was confirmed the Blues will face Brazilian side Flamengo, ES Tunis, and Club Leon.
We will face Mexican club Leon in their first game of the competition, with a Flamengo side that currently includes former Blue David Luiz and Tunisian team Esperance de Tunis also lying in wait.

How to watch the FIFA Club World Cup
FIFA have agreed a deal with DAZN to live stream all 63 matches worldwide for free.
The sports entertainment platform does also have the possibility of sublicensing to local free-to-air linear broadcast networks.
How to buy Chelsea tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup
Chelsea will have a dedicated fan section in each stadium and tickets will be sold to season ticket holders and members only, one ticket per person per match.
Supporters will be required to purchase tickets directly via the FIFA website with an access code issued by Chelsea.
Supporters with access needs wishing to obtain accessible seats DO NOT need to apply for an access code from Chelsea and can purchase tickets directly from FIFA. There is more information on this below.
The deadline for obtaining access codes has now passed so season ticket holders with the highest number of loyalty points should have been emailed a link to the FIFA portal and the access code. This emailing process started from 7 January when FIFA sales began.
Once all season ticket holders were emailed an access code, the same process was followed for members with the highest number of loyalty points.
Tickets are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Also please note, access codes were emailed over a period of a few days in order to give priority to those with the most loyalty points.
One access code allows the purchase of one ticket per match from the group stages up until the final. Supporters will need to carefully select the matches they wish to attend as an access code cannot be used to purchase tickets at a later date.
Should we get knocked out of the competition, all tickets purchased for later rounds will be automatically refunded by FIFA.
Supporters wishing to sit with friends or family will be able to link up to six access codes in one transaction at the time of purchase on the FIFA website. Please note, access codes will be valid for one use only and cannot be used for a second transaction at a later date.
Business season tickets or multiple season tickets in one name
Season tickets held in a business name (as determined by the club) cannot purchase tickets for these matches.
Any season ticket holder who holds two or more season tickets in one name can only purchase one ticket for each of these matches.
Dispatching of tickets
Tickets will be dispatched by FIFA and must be downloaded onto the FIFA mobile app.
Declaration form submission
Declaration forms will NOT be required for these matches.
Loyalty points
As FIFA are selling the tickets to those with the access codes, we are unable to allocate loyalty points for these fixtures.
