James Harden delivered a performance to remember on Wednesday night, erupting for 50 points as the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Detroit Pistons 123-115 at home.
The 11-time NBA All-Star drained six 3-pointers and added five assists, leading the Clippers to a crucial win as they continue their push up the Western Conference standings.
It was Harden's first 50-point game since leaving the Houston Rockets, and he made history in the process-becoming just the eighth player in Clippers franchise history to hit the milestone and the first since Lou Williams did it on Jan. 1, 2018, against the Golden State Warriors.
After his scoring explosion, Harden had a simple but strong message.
"I'll rest when the season's over," he said.

The veteran guard's words underscored his commitment to pushing the Clippers forward, even as he continues to silence critics who questioned his ability to produce at an elite level.
This 50-point outing was the 24th of his career, putting him just one behind Kobe Bryant on the NBA's all-time list.
Harden got his points in signature fashion: 16 at the free-throw line, 16 in the paint and 18 from deep. His efficiency was exactly what the Clippers needed as they aim to secure a top-six spot and avoid the Play-In Tournament.
With the postseason race heating up, Harden's statement-and performance-sent a clear message: He's not slowing down anytime soon.
