“They should be ashamed” – Antonio Cassano goes off on one after Arsenal match, Serie A ‘rubbish’

Arsenal are in a comfortable spot to qualify for the Champions League quarter-final after securing a 7-1 win over PSV Eindhoven earlier this week.

The return leg will take place at the Emirates next Wednesday and the Dutch club have a near impossible task, especially considering Arsenal have lost only two games at home this season.

PSV secured a place in the last 16 after overcoming Juventus in the play-offs in February.

Former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan forward Antonio Cassano has used Arsenal’s latest win to slam the Turin club for failing to overcome the Eredivisie side.

He didn’t hold back when comparing Juve’s performance with that of the Gunners for Viva el Futbol. [Corriere della Sera](https://www.corriere.it/sport/calcio/25_marzo_06/cassano-champions-milan-juventus-401fede2-e370-446c-b1c8-17d5e83f0xlk.shtml?refresh_ce) have relayed the 42-year-old’s comments.

As well as Juventus, Milan and Atalanta were knocked out of the Champions League in the play-offs by Feyenoord and Club Brugge respectively. Inter are the only Serie A side still alive in the competition and secured a 2-0 win over Feyenoord on Wednesday.

_“Feyenoord are poor, guys. It’s too poor. Embarrassing stuff,”_ he said.

_“Fourth in Holland in the Eredivisie, but it’s embarrassing stuff, something you can’t see at all._

_“Inter could stay until tomorrow, they never conceded a goal, they never shot on goal, and they could have scored five, six, seven goals without any problems and they also missed the penalty._

_“There was never a match and in the return leg it will be the exact same thing, if not worse for Feyenoord who, I repeat, are too, too poor.”_

Cassano used Inter and Arsenal’s latest victories over Feyenoord and PSV respectively to slam Milan and Juventus.

_“I would be ashamed if I were Milan and Juventus players, where I go out to a team as poor as Feyenoord and with a team that gave the Bianconeri a resounding rumble in the return leg, then take seven goals from Arsenal. The Gunners play well, the team is strong. But, guys, I repeat, seven goals at home,”_ Cassano explained.

He also came to a conclusion about the Italian top division.

_“That made me understand that the Italian championship is rubbish. Arsenal go to PSV and score seven goals. Instead, Juve, between the first and second leg, deserved to go out and now they say: ‘Juve is back’. Yes, but they should be ashamed for the rubbish they did. Milan and the Bianconeri should be ashamed,”_ he added.
