The Los Angeles Chargers ended the postseason with a 32-12 loss to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round.
Now, just days before the NFL free agency negotiation window, the Chargers have released Pro Bowl edge rusher Joey Bosa.
The move saves the Chargers $25.36 million against their cap space as they set to spend in free agency.
Bosa has spent his entire career with the Chargers after being selected No. 3 overall in the 2016 NFL draft following a standout career with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Bosa was also the last remaining player from the San Diego Chargers, so it's a tough blow for the fans.
After the news came, the Chargers account sent a message to Bosa.
"thx for everything, joey," the Chargers account wrote with a blue heart.

Bosa's time with the Chargers went well as he made the Pro Bowl five times and was named the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2016.
However, injuries have limited Bosa over the past few seasons. Since 2022, Bosa has played just 28 games. In 2018, he played just seven games due to injuries.
It's a new era for the Chargers, who have had Bosa on the roster for nearly a decade.
