As expected, the Boston Celtics have dominated multiple teams throughout the 2024-25 season.
On Wednesday night, they put up a strong performance against the feisty Portland Trail Blazers and won 128-118.
Payton Pritchard was a massive part of Boston’s victory and scored 43 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
According to NBA History, Pritchard became the first Celtic with 40+ points and 10+ three-pointers in a game.
Additionally, he is the third player ever with 40+ points and 10+ three-pointers off the bench and the third player ever with 40+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 10+ three-pointers, joining James Harden and Damian Lillard.
What a night, and what a season, for Pritchard.

This latest game from Pritchard should reiterate how he needs to be in the discussion for Sixth Man of the Year.
He hasn’t started in a single one of his 61 games this year but has still been doing incredible things.
He is averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
Last season, Pritchard posted 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
One of the main reasons why the Celtics won their championship last season was because of how deep their bench is.
Pritchard is a major factor in that depth.
Boston’s bench can be the difference between a win and a loss and they have helped the team remain truly competitive for all four quarters.
Although Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are considered the team’s most important stars, Boston’s success is only possible because of players like Pritchard.
The Celtics remain the second seed in the East with a 44-18 record and will play the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night.
How many points can Pritchard post during that game?
