Many NBA fans and analysts are already predicting who will go all the way to the Finals this year.
Nothing is certain, of course, but some people are adamant about their choices, including Kendrick Perkins.
Speaking on “SportsCenter,” Perkins repeated his belief that the Boston Celtics will not only reach the Finals but will be named champions again.
He pointed to their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday evening when both Payton Pritchard and Derrick White scored more than 40 points.
He said if the team’s fourth and sixth options can score like this, all other teams are in trouble.

Pritchard’s 43 points and 10 rebounds were wildly impressive, as were White’s 41 points.
They made Boston’s success possible, especially because Jayson Tatum wasn’t playing.
Perkins said these two players were a sign of just how deep and competitive the Celtics are at all times.
He also added that their biggest stars are two-way players, meaning they can both create shots and stop them too.
This is yet another issue for all opponents of Boston and could pave the path to the Finals.
With that being said, it’s important to remember that the playoffs are wildly different than the regular season.
A best-of-seven series gives opponents time to figure the Celtics out and poke holes in their game.
Plus, multiple teams have defeated Boston throughout the season, meaning they are not invincible.
However, there is no doubt that Wednesday’s game was a good reminder of how dangerous the Celtics are.
They don’t even need their best player on the court to score a victory.
