All basketball fans agree that Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is one of the best players in the NBA.
What sets him apart from everyone else and what drives him to push himself season after season?
Speaking to the press, Antetokounmpo opened up about his motivation and how he stays so locked in.
He said he always believed the only way he could make it in the league was through hard work, and that he had to “show up” every single day.
“The greats never get bored,” Antetokounmpo said, per the NBA on X.
His heart and his spirit are always focused on winning and being the best player possible, and that is why he’s a champion and two-time MVP.

It’s hard to believe that Antetokounmpo is in his 12th season in the league.
He is only 30 years old and hopefully has many years left in him but it feels that he entered the NBA only yesterday.
Back then, he was a smaller, skinnier, less confident version of himself.
But over the years, he has proven himself and earned multiple accolades and the respect of everyone he plays against.
This season, Antetokounmpo is still one of the most fearsome players in the league, averaging 30.8 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.
More importantly, he is perhaps more driven than ever before.
He makes no secret of his desire to win another championship and will push himself, and his teammates, as hard as he has to.
In fact, if the Bucks don’t perform well over the next season, there is a good chance Antetokounmpo will start looking to move to another team.
He wants to be the very best and wishes to play for the greatest team in the league.
He isn’t slowing down after more than a decade in the NBA and this comment proves he has no intention to.
