Kevin Durant is at the center of trade rumors as speculation mounts about his potential departure from the Phoenix Suns, with the Minnesota Timberwolves among the teams expected to pursue him this summer.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are a team to watch in connection with Phoenix Suns star forward Kevin Durant, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

"Another small market team to watch is the Minnesota Timberwolves," Windhorst said on the Get Up show. "Edwards and KD have a very tight connection also from the Olympics. Timberwolves tried to pull off a crazy trade at the deadline for KD. Look for them to revisit those talks this summer."
Before the Feb. 6 trade deadline, Minnesota was one of three teams interested in acquiring KD, along with the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat.
However, any discussions fell through when Durant expressed no interest in leaving Arizona.
Following these trade talks, Durant reportedly became unhappy about being included in such speculation. Windhorst has suggested that a trade could indeed happen this summer, stating, "They're gonna trade [KD], and he knows that."
Currently, Durant is earning $51.1 million this season and is under contract for one more year at $52.7 million for the 2025-26 season.
As of now, Minnesota holds a 35-29 record and is a playoff seed in the West, while Phoenix is struggling with a 29-33 record, sitting 11th in the conference.
