Confirmed Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Real Sociedad, Garnacho starts in 3 big changes

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed the starting line-up for the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 against Real Sociedad.

The Red Devils exited the FA Cup in the fifth round last weekend after a penalty shoot-out loss to Fulham.

The club are now reliant on winning the Europa League to secure silverware as well as qualify for the Champions League next season.

Amorim has made three changes for the first leg of the round of 16 this evening.

Andre Onana continues in goal for the Red Devils.

In defence, there is a solitary change with Harry Maguire injured. Noussair Mazraoui comes into the back three alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro.

Diogo Dalot will start at right wing-back. Patrick Dorgu has got the nod at left wing-back. The Dane is suspended for two more domestic games, but he is eligible to play in Europe.

In midfield, there is an enforced change with Manuel Ugarte sidelined with a minor injury. Casemiro has been picked ahead of Toby Collyer in the number six position.

Bruno Fernandes will accompany the Brazil international in the centre of the park.

Further forward, Alejandro Garnacho has replaced Christian Eriksen in attacking midfield

Joshua Zirkzee will partner the Argentine with Rasmus Hojlund leading the line once more.

Hojlund has not scored in his last 18 appearances for United. The Dane needs to end the drought today.

Chido Obi is ineligible to play against Real Sociedad, but he is waiting in the wings to capitalise.

Confirmed Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Real Sociedad: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Yoro; Dalot, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu; Garnacho, Zirkzee; Hojlund.
