Ex-Arsenal player identifies the attacker Mikel Arteta should 'break the bank for'
Mikael Silvestre has urged Arsenal to "break the bank" for Viktor Gyokeres this summer.
Gyokeres has been linked to a move away from Sporting Lisbon, with many of the football world's biggest clubs reportedly showing interesting in the 26-year-old striker.
Given Arsenal's scoring woes this season — they have scored 15 fewer goals than Premier League leaders Liverpool — a forward with Gyokeres' pedigree could help the North London club close the gap, as they continue to chase a first league title in over two decades.
Silvestre believes his former side should do whatever it takes to land the Swede.

"Arsenal should go and get Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon this summer," Silvestre told yaysweepstakes.com. "He is the one player that I would try and break the bank for if I was Mikel Arteta.
"Viktor Gyokeres would be a very good signing for Arsenal.

"He’s powerful, that's what they're missing. They don’t have a player like him in their squad.
"He’s a big physical presence that has had another brilliant season. He’s scored goals at the highest level in the Champions League.
"As a number 9, he’s got everything that you want. He’s a great finisher."
