Google Pixel is known for its amazing camera and even better image post-processing. Now, Google is releasing Pixel Camera 9.8 as part of its March 2025 Feature Drop for Pixel devices.

With this update, Pixel Camera 9.8 now has a new toggle in Settings > Advanced to "Turn on animation for Astrophotography," which is on by default. Google also clarifies that the Palm timer's "raise your hand" feature works with the rear camera, as reported by 9to5Mac.

For Pixel Fold users, the update brings Dual Screen Preview for video recording. The Add Me feature on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold can now appear on the external display.

The March 2025 Feature Drop also brings remote-connected cameras for Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold users. This lets users "seamlessly capture or live stream with supported camera applications using remote cameras." Compatible devices include Pixel 6+ and "GoPro 10 and later (up to date with the latest software)." Supported apps are YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok.

When Connected Cameras is active and a compatible application is in use, users can access the Camera Picker. This floating pill-shaped container lets users "add, remove or disconnect a remote camera as well as switch between your device and a remote camera."
