The Los Angeles Lakers continued their red-hot streak with a 136-115 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
Led by first-year head coach JJ Redick, the Lakers recorded their seventh consecutive victory - furthering their position as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference with a 39-21 record.
The Lakers were able to take down the Pelicans despite a masterful performance from New Orleans forward Zion Williamson.
Through just 26 minutes on the court, Williamson dropped a game-high 37 points on 17/23 shooting from the field. The sixth-year pro is averaging 27.5 points per game over his last 10 games with the Pelicans.
During his postgame press conference, Redick hit Williamson with some serious praise.
"Zion, obviously, presents a lot of problems. We made adjustments. He was moving tonight. He was moving tonight... We made three different adjustments on him and it didn't work. He was that good tonight," Redick said.
Redick suited up as Williamson's teammate with the Pelicans from 2019-21.
"Overall, just a good team win for us."

Redick is an NBA Coach of the Year candidate in his first season as a head coach. The 40-year-old franchise leader has done an excellent job managing superstar talent, facilitating the addition of Luka Doncic and meshing him alongside LeBron James.
The Lakers will look to continue their impressive win streak in a home matchup against the New York Knicks on Thursday night. The team will then begin a four-game road trip against the reigning-champion Boston Celtics on Saturday.
Thursday's matchup against the Knicks will tipoff at 10 p.m. EST.
