Everton and the Friedkin Group will be looking to splash the cash this summer as they prepare to move to Bramley Moore Dock.
The Americans completed their takeover of Everton in December 2024, with the Toffees starting their new era with a bang in the Premier League.
While PSR halted big spending in the winter transfer window, the arrival of David Moyes has catapulted Everton back in the right direction with brutal calls to be made.
In terms of transfers, the new owners will get a chance to showcase their pulling power in the summer transfer window, with the contracts of many players coming to an end soon, too.
While that is still months away, work is already underway and Abdoulaye Doucoure is one of those who has come under the microscope.

Everton may leave Doucoure behind
Everton midfielder Doucoure has his contract expiring at the end of the season, with the 32-year-old a mainstay of the Toffees team since his arrival back in 2020.
Although the Malian midfielder has had his ups and downs, he has largely been impactful under whichever manager he has played for. Under Dyche, Doucoure played 68 games, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.
Under Carlo Ancelotti’s tutelage, he scored three goals and assisted another three in 34 games. Since Moyes took over the reins at Everton, Doucoure has three goal contributions in seven games.

Doucoure has been a loyal servant and was handed a new two-year deal back in 2023 with an option to trigger another year. However, the Toffees have decided against triggering that.
The Merseysiders not going ahead with a one-year extension only indicates that the new owners are inclined to go big in the summer window for a new midfielder.
The decision shows the new owners’ ruthless side where they are not afraid of letting go of a seasoned midfielder who has been highly efficient.

The Toffees to undergo a squad overhaul under TFG
Everton could potentially undergo a squad overhaul in the summer transfer window as several players are in the final months of their contracts and no decision has been made yet regarding the renewals.
The Toffees will not trigger Doucoure’s one-year contract extension, leaving him as a free agent at the end of the season. Along with the Mali international, seven more players are on course to see their contract out at Goodison Park.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Idrissa Gueye, Michael Keane, Ashley Young, Seamus Coleman, Joao Virginia, and Asmir Begovic will also see their contracts expiring at the end of the season. TFG seem prepared to let go of some of these names and bring in fresh, young and dynamic faces in the squad next summer.
Fans would hope that club legend Coleman extends his contract for one more season to oversee Everton’s transition from Goodison Park to the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. However, extensions for the rest of the players are a big question mark.
