Real Madrid lost against Barcelona with the result 0-5 in the first leg of the Copa de la Reina semifinals. Below are my thoughts and views on this El Clásico.

Misa started on goal. Méndez-Lakrar made up the C duo, with Yasmim and Antonia on fullbacks. It was Toletti-Angeldahl as the pivot duo. Weir was a part of the front 4 behind Bruun leading the line, with Feller and Olga on the wings.
The game looked bad from start to finish. It took only 70 seconds for Barça to score the first goal. A low cross from Caroline Graham Hansen from Yasmim’s side to Salma on the far post who was Antonia’s mark. It looked like the entire defense was in slow motion in this action. The fourth goal, also scored by Paralluelo, was almost the same exact look.
In reality, the only goal in the first that didn’t look like the rest was the third goal. It also came from Graham Hansen who didn’t have many problems going past Yasmim. She gave it to Pajor who pushed the ball in. Even though the shot wasn’t strong, Misa’s mistake let the ball pass through the goal line.
The fullback situation was in shambles the entire game, but especially the first 45 minutes. Both Yasmim and Antonia looked out of place, almost like they came not knowing their marks. The midfield made some odd passes too, only Toletti tried to cover more ground because of the holes in the defense, but she was ultimately subbed at halftime for Irune Dorado.
The only light at the end of the tunnel in the second half, in the whole game in general, was Irune’s performance. She kept stability in defense, recovering well both in deep midfield and high up. She never held back from a duel and was possibly the only one that was noticed from the white-shirt players.
A couple more things characterized the second half and that was the 5th goal, scored by Ewa Pajor for a hattrick, and Eva Navarro’s injury scare. This time the goal came from a long ball from the back to Rolfö in the box who quickly sent it to the center of the box to the Polish striker.
In one of the actions for Real Madrid, Eva Navarro was pulled to the ground and stomped on her arm. It looked bad at first, but she finished the game, even though the medical team was looking at her arm after the final whistle. Hopefully there’s nothing to worry about.
Humiliating result in the first leg of this semifinal draw. Barcelona continues their clean sheet streak in clasicos which has gone on since early 2023.
