The Cincinnati Bengals have given Trey Hendrickson permission to seek a trade, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
The Bengals have been ‘trying’ to get a long-term deal done with Hendrickson, but there have been several reports that said talks aren’t going well, so it appears we’re closer to a trade being made than a long-term extension getting done.
With that, the end of the Hendrickson era in Cincinnati is likely coming to an end. While the Bengals will at least try to keep the option open of retaining him for one final year, the fact that they’re letting him talk to other teams suggests they’re willing to move on for the right price.
