Cole Palmer new Amazon Prime documentary with exclusive access to Chelsea star

[Chelsea](https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/) midfielder [Cole Palmer](https://www.football.london/all-about/cole-palmer) is set to star in a new Amazon Prime documentary. The 22-year-old has been in sublime form since his £40million move to Stamford Bridge in September 2023, scoring 39 goals and adding 21 assists in 75 matches across all competitions.

During his first season, Palmer directly contributed to 33 goals in 33 Premier League appearances. That helped him secure a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2024.

Although Palmer didn't get as many minutes as he may have wanted, he still contributed with great effect. Palmer grabbed the assist for Ollie Watkins' dramatic late winner against Netherlands in the semi-final before coming off the bench to score England's equaliser in the final against Spain.

Despite losing to Spain, the Three Lions had a whirlwind summer and Amazon are set to broadcast an exclusive feature interview with four stars from that squad. Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo, Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins are the others that are going to feature alongside Palmer.

Behind-the-scenes footage of their journey at Euro 2024 is going to be included, with the documentary film available exclusively on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland on Saturday March 15.

A press release read: "Prime Video has revealed the trailer for _England's Lions: The New Generation_, a feature-length documentary chronicling the experiences of England’s emerging football stars as they navigate the immense pressure and glory of representing their country. The film provides intimate access to these players’ journeys, from their grassroots beginnings to the cauldron of the European Championships.

The UK Original documentary will launch in the UK & Ireland exclusively on Prime Video on Saturday 15 March. _England’s Lions: The New Generation_ is the latest addition to the Prime membership.

"The film follows some of England’s newest recruits, starring Cole Palmer, Kobbie Mainoo, Marc Guehi and Ollie Watkins, with key contributions from friends and family that shine a light on their journey to the international stage.

"The documentary will delve into the player’s origin stories: from playing non-league football, to rejection at academy level, the film uncovers the realities of fighting your way to the top, culminating in all four playing a major role at last year’s European Championships.

"The documentary combines explosive match footage with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the England players at the tournament, featuring intimate moments with family members, friends and those closest to the players. _England’s Lions: The New Generation_ captures the emotional highs and lows as they battle past failures, media scrutiny and the responsibility of carrying the nation’s hopes on their shoulders."
