[Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com) will earn a lot from this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup, as they could make as much as 145 million euros from it, reports MARCA.
Real Madrid are the defending champions of the [Champions League](https://www.sbnation.com/champions-league) and have won the competition a number of times — as well as La Liga — in recent times, which has given them the place in the inaugural Club World Cup with a new format.
They would have to win the competition to get the 145 million euros, but they are also the team with the highest prize money out of everyone involved.
_Los Blancos_ are guaranteed a minimum of 35 million euros for entering the competition. They get six million to win three matches in the group stage, and seven million for the round of 16. They get 12 million for the quarter-finals, 20 for the semi-finals, 28 to be in the final and then, finally, 37 million euros to win the whole competition.
It is a competition that has added a lot of games to the participating teams’ calendars, but there is a substantial amount of money that could be earned from it.
