The Seattle Seahawks are retaining one of the unexpected key contributors to their 10-win 2024 campaign.
The Seahawks re-signed cornerback Josh Jobe on Thursday. Jobe was set to become a restricted free agent when the new league year starts next Wednesday, March 12. Specifics on the deal have yet to be released.

“I’m very excited to be back,” Jobe said via Seahawks.com’s John Boyle. “I felt like I had a breakout season last year, and I’ve got to keep it going. I’m not done yet; I’ve still got more to prove.”
The 26-year-old Jobe joined the Seahawks in late August after being cut by the Philadelphia Eagles. After spending the first six weeks of the season on the practice squad, the former undrafted free agent finally got his shot in Seattle’s Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons when cornerbacks Riq Woolen and Tre Brown were both out with injuries.
Jobe shined against the Falcons, securing six tackles and two passes defended. He took over the role as Seattle’s No. 3 cornerback for the remainder of the season, lining up on the outside while standout Devon Witherspoon moved inside to the slot in the Seahawks’ nickel package. Jobe secured his first career interception the following week against the Buffalo Bills, becoming the first player to pick off Bills star quarterback Josh Allen during the 2024 season.

Jobe finished last season with 37 tackles, seven passes defended and one interception (all career highs) over 10 contests. He played more than 50% of Seattle’s defensive snaps in all 10 games and was the league’s 107th-ranked cornerback last season, according to Pro Football Focus grading.
Jobe spent his first two pro seasons with Philadelphia, logging 23 tackles and four passes defended in 28 games while mostly playing special teams.
