Cardinals Predicted to Trade for $87.5 Million Titans Starter

The Arizona Cardinals are going to be looking for pass rush help this offseason.

They were one of the worst teams in the NFL when it came to pressuring opposing quarterbacks during the 2024 season.

The return of B.J. Ojulari should provide some help, but that won't be enough to turn the Cardinals' defense around for a potential playoff run in 2025.

To do that, they're going to need to find an upgrade on the edge who can truly make an impact for them.

Pro Football and Sports Network's Sterling Xie believes the Cardinals will find an answer who not only improves their pass rush, but will also help with another issue the team faced in 2024.

In a recent article, Xie predicted the Cardinals would trade for Tennessee Titans linebacker Harold Landry.

Landry has been incredibly dependable for the Titans throughout his career.

He missed just one game as a rookie and hasn't missed a game in five of the six seasons that followed. He missed all of the other season because of an ACL tear suffered before the season began.

In his last five healthy seasons, he has recorded nine, 5.5, 12, 10.5, and nine sacks. The 12-sack season earned Landry a spot in the Pro Bowl.

In those five seasons he also racked up 12, 10, 14, 14, and 15 tackles for loss.

This past season, Landry also had 38 stops in the run game according to Pro Football Focus.

The Cardinals also struggled against the run in 2024. The 4.6 yards per carry they allowed made them eighth worst against the run.

The Titans have given Landry permission to seek a trade and his ability to make an impact in two ares for their defense would make him a great fit for the Cardinals.

With his 29th birthday approaching and a pretty hefty cap hit if the Titans hold onto him, the asking price for him should be pretty reasonable.

The former Pro Bowler is definitely worth inquiring about for the Cardinals.
