OXFORD United’s opponents tomorrow night have been dealt a double injury blow with two players set to miss the rest of the season.

Norwich City left back Ben Chrisene and winger Lewis Dobbin, on loan from Aston Villa, sustained the injuries as the Canaries drew 1-1 at Blackburn Rovers last weekend.

Chrisene suffered an ankle injury following a challenge from Emmanuel Dennis, while Dobbin limped off with a calf problem during the first half.

Regarding loanee Dobbin, Canaries head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup [told the Pink Un](https://www.pinkun.com/sport/interviews/24987083.double-season-ending-dobbin-chrisene-blow-city/): “So, unfortunately, as expected, I think that was his last minute for us this season.

“He was starting to be important for us, and he contributed offensively for us in a different way compared to some of the other strikers that we have. He’s really, really good at running in behind.

“It’s unfortunate, mostly for him. We will take care of him. It seems like he will do his rehab here with us. We will keep him close. It’s never easy for a player, especially because he was about to find his flow.”

Chrisene has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, while Dobbin scored twice in 11 matches following a loan move in the January transfer window.
