According to [Caughtoffside](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2025/03/06/man-united-transfers-benjamin-sesko-newcastle-james-trafford/), Manchester United will face competition from Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham for the player. The Slovenian has been exceptional for the German club this season and he is valued at €80 million.
The report states that Manchester United will only move for him if they manage to make significant sales in the summer. They are looking to get rid of some of their fringe players and invest the proceeds from their departure on new signings.
Sesko would be an excellent acquisition for Manchester United if they can get the deal done. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have not been able to live up to the expectations and they need to be replaced.
Manchester United need a clinical finisher and the Slovenian would be the ideal acquisition. Sesko is regarded as one of the finest young attacking talents in European football and he could transform Manchester United in the attack.
However, the €8 million valuation could be problematic. Manchester United need to improve the other areas of their squad as well and they will not be able to afford him at that price unless they manage to sell some of their players. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs keen on Sesko
----------------------------------------
Meanwhile, [Arsenal are keen on the player as well](https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2025/03/04/arsenal-manchester-united-tottenham-express-interest-in-benjamin-sesko-price-may-go-up-to-e80-million/) and they need to bring in an alternative to Gabriel Jesus who has not been able to score goals consistently. It remains to be seen whether they can secure an agreement with RB Leipzig in the coming months.
As far as Chelsea are concerned, they need more depth in the attacking unit. Nicolas Jackson has done well this season but Chelsea could certainly use an upgrade. If they want to win major trophies, they will need top-class players at their disposal. Sesko could prove to be an upgrade on the former La Liga striker and he could form a lethal partnership with the likes of Cole Palmer.
Tottenham are looking at attacking options as well but it seems unlikely that they will be able to spend €80 million on the Slovenian. They have already signed Dominic Solanke at the start of the season for a club record fee and they need to improve multiple areas of their squad. They will probably look for bargain acquisitions in the summer.
