Deion Sanders Exposes Possible NFL Draft Secret

The college football season may be in the rear-view mirror, yet Deion Sanders and players from his Colorado Buffaloes program still dominate the headlines.

With the NFL draft approaching, there has been an increase in discourse around his son and quarterback, Shedeur Sanders. Although he didn't throw at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, he is still considered a possible first-round pick. However, a report by NFL insider Josina Anderson revealed that one quarterback coach of a team with a top seven pick called Sanders both "arrogant" and "brash."

While some may view this as a knock on the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, his dad revealed it could be something else on a recent episode of Shedeur Sanders' podcast "2Legendary."

"Why are you the only kid they hating on," Deion asked Shedeur. "Why you the only kid in the draft, potential first picks or whatever pick that they hate on? Why you the only one?"

A question that prompted the Colorado quarterback to reply, "cause you Prime Time." An answer that "Coach Prime" revealed wasn't correct in his eyes.

"No, because they want you to slide to their team," Deion Sanders replied. "It's games. It's games. But we know the game we Sanders baby."

Whether or not Prime's theory is correct will be determined in Green Bay on April 24. However, it is worth noting that in Athlon Sports' latest NFL mock draft, Luke Easterling had Shedeur Sanders falling to pick No. 19.

Sanders threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns this season, while leading Colorado to its first nine-win season since 2016.
