With injuries starting to pile up, the Boston Celtics have found themselves very shorthanded as they eyed their third-straight win.
On Thursday night, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics hosted the Philadelphia 76ers without Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey. And Derrick White may have had a bit of Déjà vu.
With 7:13 remaining in the second quarter, 76ers forward Kelly Oubre forced up a tough shot with White draped all over him. As Oubre was on his way down, his elbow connected with White's face, appearing to knock the guard's tooth out. White had to leave the game to get the new issue resolved.
Similarly, in Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, White notably had his front tooth chipped after faceplanting into the court going after the ball.
A slow-motion video of White losing his tooth was posted on social media.

NBA fans were left stunned with White losing another tooth, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
"He can't catch a break," one fan said.
"That's a tooth alright," added another.
"Poor Derrick white lost another tooth in less then a year," wrote a third.
"It looks like poor Derrick White just lost another tooth," commented a fourth.
"Derrick White just can't keep his teeth can he," posted a fifth.
"No way Derrick White lost another tooth," added a sixth.
White is coming off a career night in Wednesday night's 128-118 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Both he and Payton Pritchard combined for 84 points, with White scoring 43 and Pritchard adding 41. No other Boston duo in history has scored 40+ points in the same game.
