RELEGATED-in-waiting Saints face an impossible task when they visit Premier League leaders and Champions League favourites Liverpool.
Saints have lost their last six trips to Anfield by an aggregate score of 19-1, and have lost a total of 47 games across their last two top-flight seasons.
The Reds have scored at least twice in 89 per cent of their Premier League games this campaign and nobody is betting on that record worsening.
Boss Ivan Juric still has to put out a side he believes can compete and has been given a handful of fitness boosts. Here is our predicted team...
**Goalkeeper**
**Aaron Ramsdale** will retain his place in the team, although it looks unlikely that he will add to his two Premier League clean sheets this season.
**Defenders**
James Bree has been a mainstay under Juric but his absence comes at a good time, with the full return of previously injured **Taylor Harwood-Bellis**.
Harwood-Bellis should start on the right with **Jan Bednarek** also passed available, and could **Jack Stephens** bench Armel Bella-Kotchap again?
**Midfielders**
**Kyle Walker-Peters** will start and our shape has him left-wing-back against Mohamed Salah, with **Yukinari Sugawara** starting again on the right.
Flynn Downes will likely take his place back on the bench with **Lesley Ugochukwu** back available and **Joe Aribo** relieved from his defensive duties.
**Attackers**
**Mateus Fernandes** puts in the best numbers both in defence and in attack and he will again be tasked with linking midfield to the frontline.
Ahead of him, **Kamaldeen** **Sulemana** and **Paul Onuachu** should keep Cameron Archer and Tyler Dibling sidelined - but there could be changes.
**Full predicted team**
(3-4-1-2): Ramsdale; Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Stephens; Sugawara, Ugochukwu, Aribo, Walker-Peters; Fernandes, Kamaldeen, Onuachu.
