Golden State Warriors Star Joins Incredibly Unique NBA History

When the Golden State Warriors acquired Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat ahead of the NBA trade deadline, many thought he could help get the team back on track.

Through his first 11 games played with the Warriors, he has helped lead them to a 10-1 record. To say that the trade was a win for Golden State would be a massive understatement.

Not only has Butler helped the team win, he has been putting up big numbers while doing it.

As shared by OptaSTATS on X, Butler has averaged 17.1 points per game to go along with 5.4 assists and 5.0 rebounds.

There is only one other player who has averaged 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists with 10 or more wins over his first 11 games in NBA history, which was Oscar Robertson.

Behind the big winning the Warriors have been doing since acquiring Butler, Golden State has improved to 35-28 on the season following Thursday night's win over the Brooklyn Nets.

That record has them placed as the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoff race.

Butler pairing with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and company has the Warriors looking like a legitimate contender in the Western Conference. If he can continue playing at the level he has shown thus far, Golden State will be a tough out in the NBA Playoffs.

Following the win over the Nets, Curry had a very brief and pointed quote about Butler's impact to round out the night.

"Jimmy obviously helps. He helps a lot," Curry said.
