Palestine, Germany discuss ceasefire in Gaza, Israeli violations

**RAMALLAH / ISTANBUL**

Palestinian and German officials discussed how to strengthen the ceasefire in Gaza and address Israeli violations in the occupied West Bank during a meeting in Ramallah.

Hussein al-Sheikh, secretary-general of the Palestinian Liberation Organization's Executive Committee, met with Jens Plotner, Germany's federal chancellor's foreign and security policy advisor, to discuss efforts to strengthen the Gaza ceasefire and Israeli violations in the occupied West Bank.

According to a report by official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the meeting, held at Sheikh’s office, addressed recent developments in Palestinian territories.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their absolute rejection of the forcible displacement of Palestinians and emphasized the importance of maintaining the unity of Palestinian lands.

Plotner expressed Germany’s full support for the Palestinian people and efforts to strengthen the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

He also said achieving a just and comprehensive political solution based on the two-state solution, which is the only viable option for ensuring security and stability in the region, should be pursued.
