On March 3, Consul General Li Nan and his wife Qi Yunhui were invited to attend the 30th anniversary celebration of Oi Kwan Women's Group of Northern Ireland, UK and delivered a speech. More than 100 people attended the celebration, including Dame Fionnuala Jay-O'Boyle DBE DStJ DDL, the Lord Lieutenant for Belfast, David Malcolm, the Permanent Secretary of the Executive Office of the Northern Ireland, Douglas, the former High Sheriff of Belfast, and representatives of the Group.
Mr. Li extended his best wishes to the compatriots of the Group, and highly appreciated the work done by the Group in promoting Chinese culture, actively integrating into the local community, enhancing people-to-people exchanges, and promoting the development of diversified Northern Ireland. He encouraged the sisters of the Group to work together to achieve greater glory. Mr. Li hoped that all sectors of Northern Ireland will continue to care about and support the development of the Group and promote mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation between China and Northern Ireland in various fields.
At the celebration, the Group joined hands with sisters from various Chinese communities in Northern Ireland to present a warm and lively evening party with wonderful programs for the guests, showcasing the charm of China's excellent traditional culture and winning rounds of applause.
