A fresh update has emerged regarding Liverpool’s interest in Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez this summer, courtesy of reliable journalist Lewis Steele.
The 21-year-old has been linked with the Reds numerous times in recent months, standing out as one of the favourites to come in as Andy Robertson’s long-term successor.
The Scot remains a good player for Liverpool, but isn’t quite at the world-class level he used to be, and a younger alternative is needed moving forward.
According to The Daily Mail‘s Steele, Bournemouth are demanding £45m for Kerkez’s signature at the end of the season, which is just under triple what they paid AZ Alkmaar for him back in 2023.
Steele adds that it is “definitely one to keep an eye on going into the summer”, although there is likely to be plenty of interest in Dominik Szoboszlai’s Hungary teammate.

If Liverpool could snap up Kerkez this summer, it would sort their left-back situation for the foreseeable future, with Robertson staying on as his deputy and Kostas Tsimikas leaving.
The Bournemouth man has been such an impressive performer for the Cherries this season, helping his side get into the Champions League conversation, and football talent scout Jacek Kulig has described him as “superb”, with Mat Ryan once saying of him:
“Milos is a great boy. A crazy dude, in a good way. He is always positive and smiling. Hopefully he can develop even further in England and become even more mature. He is aggressive, powerful and has so many qualities. A unique skill set. Bournemouth is going to get stronger because of him. Milos still has a great career ahead of him.”
Kerkez combines defensive solidity, attacking quality and bundles of energy down the left flank – he has six goal contributions in the Premier League in 2024/25 to date – and given his age, there is also still so much more time for him to improve further as a player.
Ajax’s Jorrel Hato stands out as the other best long-term option for Liverpool – signing one of them has to be a key area of focus in the summer transfer window.
