Crystal Palace keen on player desired by Sevilla – €10-15m for the deal

Crystal Palace and Sevilla are in the picture to sign Royal Antwerp’s Mahamadou Doumbia.

That’s according to Africa Foot, and they mention Crystal Palace when covering Sevilla’s interest in the 20-year-old.

The midfielder has played 36 games since joining the Belgian club from Nordsjælland in September 2023.

After a bit part role last season, he cemented his place this season, playing 1,678 minutes from 22 games. The Mali-born youngster’s performances have attracted Crystal Palace’s interest.

The report states the Premier League club ‘want to sign him’, along with Brest and other clubs, in the summer window. The Eagles have to be wary of the Spanish club, who have joined the race to secure Doumbia’s services.

Sevilla are showing interest in the central midfielder and their officials are following him closely. Doumbia has a contract until 2027 and Transfermarkt currently valued at €5m.

Africa Foot state Royal Antwerp ‘only want to sell’ the player for a fee between €10-15m. There’s no indication if Crystal Palace, Sevilla or another club are willing to meet their demand.

Oliver Glasner has Justin DeVenny and Will Hughes as two central midfielders at Crystal Palace. Hughes will turn 30 years of age in April and his contract expires in June.
