Arsenal have become the latest club to show interest in Flamengo’s Wesley França.
Earlier this week, RTI Esporte stated the Gunners have contacted the right-back’s camp to find out the conditions needed to sign him. They also reported there will only be negotiations if Arsenal agree to meet the Brazilian club’s €35m request.
Bolavip Brasil back that up and provide the latest on Arsenal’s desire to sign the 21-year-old in the summer window.
The defender’s contract lasts until December 2028, and includes a €200m clause. The report states his club will need at least €35m to sit at the negotiating table and also wait until the end of the FIFA Club World Cup to buy him.
It’s claimed Arsenal ‘accept Flamengo’s conditions to buy’ the Brazilian at the end of this season. The outlet adds the Premier League club ‘promise’ to make an offer soon.
Mikel Arteta’s side believe this can help them get ahead of other clubs to sign Wesley in the next window.
On Thursday, Brazil manager Dorival Júnior called up the fullback for March’s international break. This was Wesley’s first call up and was rewarded for his development at Flamengo.
