Fabrizio Romano reports that Joshua Kimmich and Bayern Munich have now exchanged all documents for a new contract valid until June 2029. The agreement is in place, and the deal will be signed very soon.
Romano adds that Kimmich never advanced in talks with any other club, despite approaches. The player gave his priority to Bayern, and they’ve now reached a deal.

This update follows a report from Bild on Thursday that Bayern would make a decision on Kimmich’s contract that same day, with their supervisory board to vote on the matter.
Bild claimed Max Eberl and Kimmich had already reached an agreement on a new contract, but the board still needed to approve it. That has seemingly now happened.
Sky Germany had claimed that PSG had made an offer for a free transfer, with Arsenal also linked in recent days. But if either offer were genuine, Kimmich turned them down.

Kimmich has played 37 times for Bayern this season, scoring once and assisting 10 goals in all competitions from his position as a defensive midfielder.
The 30-year-old is also a regular for Germany, captaining the side over the recent international breaks.
