Ahhh just like old times during the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty. The Dubs were sleep walking on the road in an early game against a pretty terrible Eastern Conference team in the Brooklyn Nets. Sure enough, they got smacked in the mouth early as the Nets raced out to an early commanding advantage.
And then the Warriors decided to stop playing their food, and erupted for the rest of the game for a satisfying victory. This win ends their road trip, and they’ll now return home with renewed life after entering the All-Star break on life support. The Dubs have played 12 games since Jimmy Butler first suited up in the gold-and-blue. They’ve gone 10-2 in that span, losing to the Dallas Mavericks by 4 points and the 76ers by 7 points. Did you know that 10 of those games during that stretch came on the road?!
Shout out to Stephen Curry for putting an exclamation on the trip with a 40-point explosion and a “Night Night” for good measure that got him MVP chants in Brooklyn.
On Golden State’s East Coast trip, Curry averages 34.8 points, 7.8 assists, shoots 55.1% from the field, 51.6% from deep, scores 56, dunks for the first time since 2019, makes Madison Square Garden roar like Chase Center and leaves Barclays Center to “MVP” chants: pic.twitter.com/FhaNQmvx7g

Curry tallied 56 points against Orlando, 29 points against Philly, 21 against Charlotte, 28 against New York, and 40 points against Brooklyn. DAMN! THE MAN IS 37 YEARS OLD! His offensive pyrotechnics have been fueled in part by Golden State’s prized trade deadline acquisition Jimmy Butler, whose two-way presence steadies the Dubs and gives Curry more space to operate.
Steph has been putting up unanimous MVP numbers since Jimmy arrived. #Nooticing

The next few home games coming up will really shape how the Dubs either rise or fall in the standings.
When I look at this, I’m gonna go ahead and say an undefeated home streak. But if there were a place where I’d have to do the unthinkable and consider losses, that Denver/Milwaukee back-to-back is rather hellacious. What do you think Dub Nation? What’ an acceptable homestand record to power the Dubs forward based on the schedule?
