Rasmus Hojlund was left fuming with Diogo Dalot against Real Sociedad
Rasmus Hojlund and Diogo Dalot's up-and-down relationship took another turn during Manchester United's Europa League round of 16 clash with Real Sociedad.
Ruben Amorim's side lacked a cutting edge as they were held to a 1-1 first-leg draw in San Sebastian. United's lack of ruthlessness in the final third was summed up on 20 minutes when Hojlund fumed at a dallying Dalot for failing to cross to him.
It wasn't the first time the pair had clashed, but Amorim was unconcerned by the incident. He said: "I'm just imagining Diogo didn't know for sure that Rasmus had the advantage and he felt that he had a lot of time to think of the play.
"It was a clear position, Rasmus did really well, Dalot did really well, but the decision was not the best. The important thing is to move on and not be fighting."
Here's a closer look at Hojlund and Dalot's relationship, including one incident allegedly involving Bruno Fernandes...
'Good all season'
Hojlund hailed Dalot's quality and determination as he rated United's goals in last season's victorious FA Cup run. The Dane said: "I'm going to put this [Dalot's goal against Wigan] at number three. A very good goal.
"A funny story is that Diogo was actually very sick that day. He was feeling so bad, but he played a very good game, he has been solid all season, a good goal."

'The mentality we want'
Meanwhile, Dalot praised Hojlund for his pivotal contribution as a substitute against Brighton last season. Hojlund set up Dalot's opening goal before a superb solo effort doubled the lead for Erik ten Hag's side.
Speaking to MUTV, Dalot said: "I told him [Hojlund] straight after the goal, that's the mentality we want to see. Whether you're a starter or on the bench, you have to be ready."
Earlier in the campaign, during a prolific spell for Hojlund, Dalot said of the striker: "He has adapted to the team really well, and we have adapted to him really well. Hopefully, he can score a lot more goals."
'Fernandes takes sides'
Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes reportedly got involved in a spat between Dalot and Hojlund
Hojlund was furious with Dalot for a lapse in concentration that led to a goal in United's 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen in the Europa League in November 2023. According to the Daily Mail, Fernandes sided with compatriot Dalot.
When Hojlund reportedly raised his concerns to coaches, it is claimed he was told to address them directly with Dalot. The matter was then resolved, with Hojlund patching up his differences with both team-mates.
