Thomas Tuchel's expected decision on calling up Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly to England squad revealed

Thomas Tuchel's views on calling up Arsenal duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly to his first England squad have reportedly been revealed.

Former Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Tuchel was appointed England boss after Gareth Southgate departed on the back of EURO 2024.

Tuchel is set to take charge of the Three Lions for the first time when they take on Albania and Latvia in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.

Ahead of the international break, Tuchel is set to announce his first England squad next week.

It has already been reported that Tuchel has drawn up a list of 55 players that he will choose from.

According to journalist Henry Winter, the German has already taken the time to personally contact the 55 players included in his shortlist.

Arsenal young stars Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly have enjoyed stellar breakthrough seasons as they have both impressed when given the chance by manager Mikel Arteta.

As a result of their performances, there are calls for the teenagers to be included in Tuchel's first squad.

Thomas Tuchel's expected decision on Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly

As reported by the Daily Mail, it has not been ruled out that 17-year-old Nwaneri could be called up to the senior squad, but 'there is a view the youngster would benefit from at least one call-up for Under 21s'.

The situation is set to be similar for Lewis-Skelly, who is getting close to the senior squad as the likes of Luke Shaw and Lewis Hall are injured and Ben Chilwell is falling out of favour.

The Daily Mail reported: "If Lewis-Skelly is not called up into the seniors, he is set to earn his first selection for the Under 21s."

It has also been suggested that Tuchel has spoken to a number of players ahead of the announcement and regularly texts key squad members to check on their condition.
