Despite Newcastle’s interest in a number of centre forwards, they are hoping to retain Isak’s services and are simply assessing potential options in the event that he departs.

Despite interest from a host of top European clubs, Newcastle are under no pressure to sell Isak, according to CEO Darren Eales.
He recently told reporters: “They're all under long-term contracts. We have no intention at all of those players being moved on. We're not under the gun or anything like that.
“As you know, we've got an ownership that is ambitious and wants the best for the club. So from that perspective, it would be crazy for us to consider it [selling Isak].”
